Graham Weaver: John

Graham’s theatrical interests are wide and encompassing, but his primary passion is within musical theatre. He worked professionally and with the NYMT as a child and then attended the BRITSchool for Performing Arts to obtain his National Diploma in Musical theatre. He graduated last year from Goldsmiths College with first class BA Honours in Drama and Theatre Arts. His credits include the pantomime ‘Treasure Island’ for Chaplin’s Pantomime Group, touring Italy for three months with the T.I.E production ‘Jamie Bond’ for Smile Teatro, taking top soprano for Thom Southerland’s all-male production of ‘H.M.S Pinafore’ at the Union Theatre, developing live art/multi-media performance with Future Cinema Ltd., a cabaret tour for SG Productions Ltd, ‘Bent’ at the Catford Braodway, and most recently playing ‘John Hinckley’ in Sondheim’s ‘Assassins’ at the Landor.


Robert Breslin: Dave

Robert trained at the London School of Musical Theatre from where he graduated in September 2006.

 

Since graduation Robert has played Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (Watersmeet Theatre and Palace Theatre Redditch), Bink in Bink and the Riddle of the Sphinx (national tour), was a principal vocalist in Life, Love  and Lyrics (Battersea Barge) and was seen in Edinburgh taking his clothes off in the role of Phil in new musical Faith Brown and her Boys in the Buff (Pleasance One Theatre).

 

Prior to musical theatre Robert was a maths geek; achieving a 1st class honours degree from the University of Sheffield. He is very pleased that a lifelong ambition to play a singing bin man is coming true!

 


Lauren Adams: Josette

Lauren, from South Wales, began training as a ballet dancer at a very early age and later began performing as a professional singer with the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra.  In addition to this she is also an accomplished pianist, a skill that was used in her most recent tour of ‘Buddy Holly - The Musical’, in which she played the roles of Marylou Sokoloff and Maria Elena Holly.


Other theatre credits include: Beauty – Tale of Beauty & The Beast (The Castle Theatre, Wellingborough); Elphaba – Wicked Corporate; Lead Vocalist – The Wonderful West End; Gloria & u/s Mrs Meers – Thoroughly Modern Millie (UK Tour); the title roles of Snow White (Qdos), Cinderella, Beauty and Sleeping Beauty (Paul Holman Associates); Guest Soloist – Only The Brave (featuring Steve Balsalmo); Serena – Fame The Musical; Peggy – 42nd Street.

Lauren has also performed internationally in various roles such as, Candy – Oh What A Night; Echo Maguire – Rave On, Vicki – Golden Discs and Platform Shoes (all for Cruising Musicals).


Television credits include: Casualty, Pobol Y Cwm, Trisha – Take Me To The Top and Give My Mate a Break – Granada TV.

Rachel Bingham: Philippa

Rachel trained at the Mountview Academy Of Theatre Arts. Rachel is currently in The Sound Of Music at the London Palladium. Prior to this she understudied and played Shawntel/Eve in Jerry Springer -The Opera (UK Tour), understudied and played Mimi in Acorn Antiques –The Musical directed by Victoria Wood (UK Tour), she played Barbara in Time’s Up written and directed by Ray Cooney, ensemble in The Count Of Monte Cristo directed by Lindsay Posner (workshop), the lead role Kate in Jack Dagger by Lawrence Mark Wythe (workshop), Ado Annie in Oklahoma! (NYMT), and performances at the Sydney Olympic Games, Australia. Television includes: T-Rex:100 Years in Pictures, CD:UK and Blue Peter. She also appeared in the Honda Civic commercial, Choir, making numerous car noises! Recordings include: The Lost Christmas, Tomorrow Morning (demo), and Poly Juice Potion for Harry Potter 2.


Debbralee: Mama

Debbralee was born in London, and trained at the Cockpit Youth Theatre and City Lit in Musical Theatre.

Her theatre credits include: The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Miss Sherman in Fame the Musical (UK Tour), Apollo Singer in Buddy the Buddy Holly Story (UK Tour), Amateur in 125th Street (Shaftesbury Theatre, West End), The Scarecrow in The Wiz (Cockpit Theatre), Annie in The Melody Lingers On (Cochrane Theatre) and Mistress Overdone in Measure for Measure (Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith). She also has a wealth of experience performing in variety shows including Live at the London Palladium. 

Television: Debbralee appeared as Gloria Gaynor on ITV's Stars in your Eyes (Granada Television). She won her heat and went on to sing in the live final. She then appeared again in the Stars in your Eyes Christmas special and went on to win that show too. Other TV includes: Channel Four's Musicality (Diverse Television) and Richard & Judy (Channel Five, Cactus Television).

Following her appearance on Stars in your Eyes, Debbralee made numerous appearances at home and abroad as Gloria Gaynor. She performed to 85,000 people at the Brighton Pride Festival and took part in the Queen's Celebrations where she met the Queen. Debbralee also does a lot of charity work as Gloria Gaynor: most notably for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Recordings: Musicality (EMI Recordings) and most recently Debbralee has been working on a world music album.

Debbralee also hosted and sang live at the Banyan Tree Tent at the Glastonbury Music Festival and still finds time to sing Jazz in the heart of the West End in various clubs and bars.

Debbralee is delighted to be part of the cast of Rubbish!




Lucyelle Cliffe: Davina

Lucyelle’s passion for Musical Theatre began from a young age performing in numerous variety shows and plays, and she was fortunate to perform in the UK Tour of Scrooge The Musical at the age of 13 with the late Sir Anthony Newley. Lucyelle was given the opportunity to train at The London School of Musical Theatre, from which she graduated with Honours, and later was a featured vocalist on the original cast recording of Star Child composed by Charles Miller. Recent theatre credits include Adriana in The Comedy of Errors UK Tour with The British Touring Shakespeare Company, The Wicked Fairy Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty (Telford Theatre) with PHA, The Head Mistress Vera Van Strander in Brenda Bly Teen Detective (Cochrane Theatre), understudying Christine in Phantom of The Opera (Opera House, Budapest, Hungary), taking the lead role in Carmen (Opera House, Budapest, Hungary). Lucyelle has travelled the globe on various cruise ships as a lead production vocalist and dancer, and is a regular performer on the cabaret scene as lead vocalist appearing with various bands. Lucyelle is delighted to be a part of the exciting new musical “Rubbish” and would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.




Christopher Berry: Pete


Christopher recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music where he completed the postgraduate diploma in Musical Theatre.  Prior to this, he obtained a B.A. (Hons) in French Studies at the British Institute in Paris and a Masters in European Literature from Cambridge University.


He is currently appearing in THE SOUND OF MUSIC at the London Palladium (understudy ‘Rolf’).  Other recent credits include: ‘Andrew’ in LEAVES ON THE LINE (Brockley Jack Theatre); ‘John Reed’ in JANE EYRE (RAM) and ‘Man 2’ in PUTTING IT TOGETHER (Edinburgh Fringe).  


Christopher also appeared as a backing singer for Elton John at the Diana Memorial Concert at Wembley Stadium.




Alexander James: Dennis


Alexander has been performing from an early age. He Trained in musical theatre at Arts Educational and has recently finished a European and USA tour of the critically acclaimed "Twelve Irish Tenors" for Spirit productions.


Other theatre credits include: Dandini (us/Prince ) - Cinderella (Madinat theatre Dubai); Rod - Orgasm the musical (Edinburgh Festival ’07), Dave - For God's sake (Edinburgh Festival ‘07); Lead vocalist - Peel cruises; Sir Percival - Enchanted the musical; Aladdin - Aladdin (E3 productions); Third annual celebration of musical theatre - (Palace Theatre Shaftsbury Avenue); Demitrius - A Midsummer Nights Dream; Cliff - Cabaret (Chichester Riverside Theatre); and Dentist - Little Shop of Horrors (Chichester Riverside Theatre).


TV credits:  Christmas television spectacular (Dutch Television);  National news (USA), Threes a Crowd (BBC2); and Bed Rock (princess productions).

Christina Pickard: Chorus

Christina Pickard is a native New Yorker who has lived in London for six years. She has just finished performing as a lead singer in ‘Life, Love, and Lyrics’ at the Battersea Barge. She will be appearing Eliza Doolittle and Galinda (‘Wicked’) in 'Gala Night..Musicals and More' next year in several West End theatres. She recently toured Italy as the leading ladies in both 'Macbeth' and 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' with Palketto Stage. In London she has also performed as Kathy in 'Company' at the Broadway Theatre. Her New York credits include the lead in 'The Selfish Giant' (Manhattan Children's Theatre), 'A New Brain' (Kitchen Theatre), and Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre. Christina trained at the London School of Musical Theatre and in New York at Ithaca College where she received her Bachelor in Arts for drama. She also trained at the National Theatre Institute and the St. Petersburg Academy of Theatre, Russia. Christina is thrilled to be involved in the birth of this new, exciting musical!


Georgina Wyatt: Chorus

Georgina trained at the London School of Musical Theatre.  Prior to that she studied at the BRIT School for Performing Arts. Her credits include 'Cole' and 'The Wiz', both Upstairs At The Gatehouse, Highgate. Janet in 'The Rocky Horror Show' at Lauderdale House, Princess in '1001 Arabian Nights', Secombe Theatre, Sutton, 'Dick Whittington' and 'Sleeping Beauty', both tours. She also lived in Majorca for six months whilst working as part of the Thomson Gold Production Team, performing in various shows and Cabarets. Last year Georgina had roles in two short films and also filmed an advert for UKTV. Georgina is delighted to be part of 'Rubbish' and is sure it will be a huge success!


Sarah Jeffreys: Chorus

Sarah's passion for performing began at a very young age and she graduated from Mountview Academy this year.  Her credits include Gilmer in ‘Godspell’ at the Chelsea Theatre, Peter Pan in ‘Peter Pan’ at the Stag Theatre, Suzanne in ‘Emotional Tribunal’, a film short and Catrina Ninelives in ‘Cat Ninelives in Deepest Trouble’, the UK Tour.  Sarah has also been involved in many recording projects for both pop and musical theatre and has worked as a Children’s Presenter. Sarah is thrilled to be part of this exciting new musical and would like to thank her family for their continued support.


Irina Aggrey: Chorus

Irina trained at the Royal Ballet School, White Lodge and was awarded the Bursary for 3 years training at Laine Theatre Arts. Irina has appeared in the original cast for two major musicals: ‘The Lion King’ West-End featured as the Cheetah, understudy Sarabi; and ‘West Side Story’ UK Tour/West-End playing the part of Francisca. She has finished a stint of Gaddafi: The living myth at the ENO, where she was a Revolutionary Nun. Irina has appeared in numerous TV Commercials, other television work includes, The Lenny Henry Show, Alistair McGowan ‘Big Impressions’ and the South Bank Show. She has also had the wonderful opportunity to work with Sarah Brightman, on her production of the World Tour ‘HAREM’ EMI as Dance Captain and head of her department, and also appears on the DVD. Irina has recently been offered one of the lead parts ‘Takisha’ in a Play called ‘De Botty Business’ written by the highly acclaimed poet Benjamin Zephanaiah which is playing at the Hackney Empire 5th February 2008. She is also thrilled to be a part of the production ‘Rubbish’.
